About the Role
The Diabetes Specialist Dietitian is a member of the diabetes team responsible for the nutrition and dietetic management
of all adult diabetes patients under the care of the specialist diabetes team.The post holder will assume the role of
nutrition educator to student dietitians, medics, nursing staff, dietetic assistant and other AHPs as
required.Internally the post holder will develop effective working relationships with: other dietitians working within
this specialist area; Adult Dietetic Manager; other dietitians; office support staff; nursing staff, medical staff,
patients, relatives, other clinical staff.Externally this includesPatients, relatives, other relevant clinical staff.Key
