Diabetes Specialist Nurse
About the Role
Triaging and reviewing patients living with diabetes in an inpatient setting whilst they may be acutely unwell.
Supporting non-diabetes specialist colleagues with education, advice and governance from a diabetes specialist
perspective. Supporting patients in outpatient clinics, making clinical decisions within your scope of practice
alongside the wider MDT. Taking calls from patients living in the community who rely the team as a key point of contact
for their diabetes care. Playing an essential part in supporting the band 7's and diabetes matron with service delivery,
maintaining standards of patient care in line with the NMC and relevant national and international guidelines for
