About the Role
A Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN) provides specialist assessment, care, and education for patients with diabetes,
often working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing
individualised care plans, educating patients and families, contributing to service improvement, and supporting other
healthcare staff with their diabetes care knowledge. This role requires a high degree of personal and professional
autonomy, decision-making skills, and the ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
A full UK driving license is essential for this post. Please note that an international driving license is not accepted.
