Dispensary Technician

About the Role

Operate the repeat prescription system according to guidelines. Dispense medicines from prescriptions with regard to the

correct patient, drug type, amount and strength. Issue prescribed medications to patients. Assist with the daily

ordering of drugs in accordance with usage and turnover. When necessary, make deliveries of medication to patients at

home. Note, and act upon, any drug alert notifications or other notifications relating to the purchase, storage or

dispensing of any drug. Assist in keeping the dispensary and its stores, clean and in good order. Assist in keeping all

dispensing records according to statutory requirements and Practice protocols. At branch surgeries, book appointments
