DTC Ward Sister/Charge Nurse

About the Role

The post holder will act as a clinical resource to the ward team promoting the use of evidence based clinical nursing

practice. Carry out nursing care to the highest possible standard according to Trust Policies and Practice and Clinical

Guidelines. This requires a thorough understanding of policies and guidance related to for example: infection control,

hand hygiene and individualised patient needs. To administer patient medication according to Trust Policy, this includes

the administration of intravenous medication. The post holder must have a thorough understanding of individual

medicines, their effects, side effects and interactions.
