About the Role
This course allows students to engage in a broad investigation of the children’s care and education sector (0-8 years), with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in early years-related subjects.
Responsibilities
- Study children's development from birth to eight years.
- Understand health and safety in early years settings.
- Explore the concept of play and its benefits for learning.
- Engage in research and reflective practice.
- Complete both internal and external assessments.
Requirements
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths.
- Interest in early childhood education and care.
- Willingness to engage in practical assessments.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
