About the Role
Providing child care and education for children from babies to preschool age in a nursery environment. Practitioners
have responsibility for helping the children grow in the best way possible working in partnership with their parents.
No qualification is necessary for this apprenticeship, as full training and the opportunity to obtain a qualification in
the sector is possible with in house and external training providers. Depending on qualifications already held
candidates will be expected to complete the Early Years Practitioner (level 2) over a 12 month period or the Level 3
Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) over 18 months.
