About the Role

To provide a portering service to the Emergency Department. To escort and convey patients by wheelchair, bed or trolley.

Transfer patients to wards, x-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, MRI and endoscopy. To assist with the movement of patients

using clinical manual handling procedures including pat slides and log rolling techniques. To use reasonable judgement

when preparing to move a patient and check with clinical staff in unsure. To transfer various specimens of blood to the

pathology department. to deliver and collect prescriptions from pharmacy. Fetch blood from blood bank. To assist in

cardiac arrests. To transports records to wards with patients on transfers. To report any suspicious incidents and
