About the Role
Join our specialist school in Slough as an Emotional Support Worker, where you will provide essential care to pupils facing SEMH challenges and complex needs. Your role will involve offering tailored emotional support, fostering resilience, and building trusting relationships to help students thrive in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Offer 1:1 and small-group emotional support tailored to students
- Support students with self-expression and emotional regulation
- Create individual support plans with the SEN team
- Build trusting relationships to foster emotional safety
- Manage transitions and emotional dysregulation
- Develop social communication skills and resilience strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and external professionals
- Track emotional and behavioural progress
Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural challenges
- Calm, consistent, and non-judgemental approach
- Emotionally resilient and skilled in de-escalation
- Relevant qualifications in Psychology or Education (desirable)
- Passion for inclusion and mental health advocacy

Compensation
£85–£100 per day, depending on experience.
