About the Role

The Emergency Department X-ray Radiographic Department Assistant (RDA) works in the A&E X-ray Department undertaking

various roles. Their main duties are:

1. Assisting patients prepare for their examination.

2. Porter patients on trolleys and in wheelchairs from the Emergency Department to the X-ray Department.

3. Explain procedures to patients, requiring empathy as some patients may be anxious, distressed and in significant

pain.
