About the Role
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of this post is to support cascade screening for FH in Northern Ireland. The post holder will form part of a
regional team of FH nurses implementing the cascade screening programme and providing support for investigation and
management of patients and families with FH. The specialist nurse will be expected to manage families with FH in
Northern Ireland. This will involve explaining the condition, the genetic inheritance and the treatment options to
individuals with FH and arranging to see family members for advice and to offer genetic testing and lipid analysis. This
