About the Role

As a Family Support Worker, you’ll work directly with families and young people to assess needs, provide practical support, and help them build sustainable solutions. You’ll be part of a multi-agency team, delivering early help to prevent issues from escalating and reduce demand on statutory services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct early help assessments and create tailored support plans
  • Deliver direct work on emotional wellbeing and relationships
  • Promote healthy lifestyles in schools and colleges
  • Facilitate group activities for young people
  • Act as lead professional coordinating multi-agency support
  • Represent the service at community events

Requirements

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Skilled in safeguarding and child development
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Flexible and proactive in multi-agency environments
