Fixed Term Junior Clinical Fellow - Medicine (Nephrology F9)

About the Role

The department of Medicine is run on an integrated acute medicine and care of the elderly ward-based system, with each

ward having at least three consultants, two Specialty Registrars, three F2+ trainees and three F1 trainees. F1 trainees

are regularly rostered to clerking shifts on AAU under the supervision of the physician of the day. In the evenings and

at weekends medical wards are covered by two F1 trainees, with support from the rest of the on-call team. At night the

hospital is covered by a hospital at night team run by the specialist registrar and including F2 trainees and enhanced

trained nurses. F1 trainees no longer work at night within the hospital. Formal handover to the hospital at night time
