About the Role
Job Description - Health Care Assistant (HCA) There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this
will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: a. Undertake new patient health checks b. Undertake
NHS Health Checks (40 to 74 years) and assist with LTC/Annual Health reviews c. Support the practice with health
promotion programmes d. Carry out baseline observations such as urine analysis, pulse oximitery, blood pressure,
temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accurately e. Facilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring, advising
patients accordingly f. Undertake wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required g. Support the practice
