GP Practice Nurse Lead

About the Role

The post holder will be required to lead the provision of a clinically effective, cost efficient service and lead a team

of nurses in GP surgery setting. They will be able to independently assess, diagnose, treat, refer, sign post and

discharge patients as necessary and in accordance with clinical based evidence and NICE guidlines. Undertake chronic

disease reviews, including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Heart Failure, Learning Disabilities etc. Undertake simple and

complex dressings including leg ulcer management. Undertake contraception/ pill checks and support our women health

clinics including smears. Use appropriate infection control procedures and be aware of QOF figures. Be aware of safe
