GP Receptionist - Part Time (25hrs)
About the Role
Principle Responsibilities 1. Receive patients requests for advice and assistance on the telephone or face to face in a
prompt, friendly and efficient fashion. 2. Use the computerised appointments system (awareness of manual systems should
the computer go down) to make appointments for patients with the medical staff. 3. Using your own judgment and
communication skills, ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a
logical and non-disruptive manner. 4. Explain practice arrangements for formal requirements to new patients and those
seeking temporary cover, including overseas visitors. Ensure procedures are completed. 5. Advise patients of relevant
