Health Care Assistant

About the Role

The care assistant attends to personal needs and comforts of the elderly and infirm [the service user] with care and

support within the care home.

• To provide personal care, attention and assist service users with showering, shaving, hygiene and dressing in

accordance with planned care.

• To monitor the service user’s physical needs, and ensure their well-being comfort and dignity are met.

• To assist in serving meals to service users and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
