About the Role

Health Care Assistant (HCA) act as members of the care team working under the supervision and guidance of registered

nurses/midwives and other professional staff.

HCA’s assist in the planning, implementation, evaluation and delivery of care by providing support to registered staff,

patients and their families.

This will be achieved through the performance of specific care tasks carried out after the successful programme of

formal training and assessment.
