Health Care Assistant

About the Role

This is a Grade 5, fixed-term position for one academic year, starting ASAP. The role requires full-time commitment of 35 hours per week, term time only, plus 5 Inset days.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to personalized care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with external agencies for effective healthcare support.
• Develop documentation for managing healthcare support compliance.
• Lead the implementation of medical care documentation.
• Monitor compliance with school procedures related to medical care.
• Provide interventions for pupils with complex care needs.
• Undertake specialist training and competency assessments.

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare or education settings.
• Relevant healthcare/medical qualifications.
• Advanced numeracy and literacy level 3 or higher.
• Paediatric First Aid training/certification.
• Ability to communicate sensitively with children and adults.
• IT skills for documentation and compliance monitoring.

Compensation

The starting salary is £24,998, with a full-time equivalent of £29,064.

Location & Schedule

This position is based at Piper Hill Specialist Support School, working full-time during term time plus 5 Inset days.
