Health Visitor
About the Role
Communicate professional accountable opinion in child protection cases, in multidisciplinary case conferences and during
legal proceedings where the Health Visitor is akey participant in the decision making process, which can lead to life
changing circumstances for families where professional opinion may differ from other agencies. Respond to frequent
unpredictable situations or crises utilising professional skills, knowledge and expertise. This includes those service
users who are hostile to input e.g. where client cannot accept or admit issues e.g. parenting, domestic violence,
aggression, mental health. Following referral from clients, statutory, non-statutory agencies and the voluntary sector
