Healthcare Assistant

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join a specialist school in Harrow, supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This role involves providing personal care, assisting with educational activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for pupils. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people while working in a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to pupils with PMLD.
• Assist with feeding, mobility, and medical interventions.
• Support teaching staff in delivering tailored activities.
• Ensure pupils' safety and wellbeing throughout the day.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care plans.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents for positive outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD.
• Previous work in a school or educational setting.
• Caring, patient, and professional approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability and passion for supporting young people.
• Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Compensation

Salary is dependent on experience, with rates inclusive of holiday pay at 12.07%.

Location & Schedule

Located in Harrow, London, with full-time, term-time only hours.
