Healthcare Support Worker for Adult Eating Disorders
About the Role
The role of the Healthcare Support Worker for eating disorders will be to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team
(MDT) within the Eating Disorder Intensive Treatment Team (ED-ITT). This service works with those who are 18 and above
(17.5 if transitioning from children and adolescent services) who are at risk both physically and psychologically
secondary to their eating disorder. Support will be provided both when the individual is in the community and in
Hospital. The applicant will also provide advice and consultation to the teams providing treatment to the service user
throughout the pathway. The successful applicant as part of the MDT will assist individuals at high risk of medical
