Homebirth Midwife

About the Role

To provide safe, research based midwifery care to women/birthing people and their babies To recognise deviations from

normality and refer appropriately to medical or other agencies To maintain an up to date knowledge of current research

and trends in midwifery care, contribute to the development and delivery of evidence based practices, policies and

guidelines for maternity services To empower women/birthing people to make an informed choice and act as their advocate

at all times. To improve experiences of childbirth by offering a choice of place of birth and working in partnership

with families when making decisions about care. To work in partnership with medical teams, offering coordinated packages
