ICU Matron

About the Role

The Clinical Matron will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of clinical care is provided within the

Planned Care Group. They will be easily identifiable to clients and users and provide strong, visible leadership. They

will have the appropriate level of authority to provide the support, advice and assistance required by patients and

their families and carers. The key focus of the role will be Patient Safety, Patient Experience, user engagement,

quality care and clinical outcomes. The post holder will have clinical and managerial responsibility for a defined

clinical portfolio within the Planned Care Group, which will include the Intensive Care Unit. They will also have lead
