About the Role
The Maternity Immunisation Nurse is a key member of the maternity and public health team, responsible for delivering
safe, effective, and compassionate immunisation services to pregnant women and birthing people. This role supports
national vaccination programmes and contributes to improving maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
Working across antenatal clinics, maternity units, and community settings, the nurse provides vaccinations such
asPertussis, Flu, COVID-19, and RSV, ensuring timely protection for both mother and baby. The role involves clinical
assessment, vaccine preparation and administration, and patient education, all within a multidisciplinary framework.
