Independent Nurse Prescriber - Children and Young Peoples ADHD Service

About the Role

Responsible for managing a case load of service users that have an established diagnosis of ADHD. The post holder will

provide on-going appointments, prescribe medication as necessary and undertake all associated monitoring. Initially the

scope of practice for the post holder would be to manage the treatment of ADHD. This may be extended to other diagnoses

based on education, training, development and achievement of competence. Undertake all relevant physical health

monitoring associated with ADHD treatment e.g. height, weight, blood pressure and pulse. This may be extended to

patients not on their own caseload. To modify the treatment plan with respect to drug therapy once trained in diagnostic
