About the Role

As an IRO, you will be the lead safeguarder for children in the Carlisle area and across the wider county. You will

provide the independent oversight necessary to ensure every child's care plan is robust, timely, and centered on their

best interests.

Key Responsibilities:

* Chairing Meetings: Lead Child Protection (CP) Conferences and Cared For (LAC) Statutory Reviews.

* Quality Assurance: Monitor and challenge care planning to ensure the Local Authority is meeting its statutory duties.
