Junior Clinical Nurse Specialist - Skin Cancer
About the Role
The Macmillan Junior Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) provides high-quality, specialist nursing care to patients with
melanoma and other skin cancers from diagnosis through treatment, follow-up and, where appropriate, palliative care.
Working as an autonomous practitioner and a core member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), the post holder manages a
defined caseload under the supervision of the Band 7 CNS, ensuring patients and their families receive holistic,
personalised care and timely access to information, advice and support. Key duties include undertaking comprehensive
assessments, holistic needs assessments and care planning; providing nurse-led follow-up and telephone clinics;
