About the Role
We are seeking two Band 6 Junior Sisters/Charge Nurses for the Older Person's Assessment Unit (OPAU) at Weston General Hospital. This role involves coordinating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers while ensuring safety and high-quality care. Ideal candidates will have experience in elderly care and acute medicine, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to staff development.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Ensure patient safety throughout the process.
- Support the Ward Manager in continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior nursing staff effectively.
- Maintain excellent standards of care.
Requirements
- Active 1st level registration with NMC.
- Relevant post-registration qualification at level 3.
- Experience in elderly care and acute medicine.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Location & Schedule
Full-time position of 37.5 hours per week and part-time position of 28 hours per week available.
