About the Role
The Labour Ward Coordinator will lead midwifery and non-midwifery staff, ensuring effective management of daily activities within the maternity service. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of care, reducing length of stay, and enhancing satisfaction for women and birthing people through responsive service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily maternity service activities.
- Ensure high standards of midwifery care.
- Monitor staffing levels and compliance.
- Liaise with the rota coordinator for staffing needs.
- Maintain visibility and support for staff.
Requirements
- Registered midwife with relevant experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to assess and respond to service needs.
- Experience in staffing and rota management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
