Lead Community Learning Disability Nurse
About the Role
To plan and deliver a highly specialist nursing service (in leadership or advanced nurse role) and to oversee its
clinical governance. To be responsible for the professional leadership and continued development of a team I service
area. To lead in the supervision and Individual Performance Review/Appraisal of all nursing staff. To ensure that the
healthcare needs of people with learning disabilities are communicated to service commissioners and providers. To
positively contribute to divisional developments in relation to nursing practice. To advocate and represent the service.
To be responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols and care pathways.
