Lead Healthcare Assistant Vascular Access
About the Role
To manage, under indirect supervision, own workload within the competencies of the post. Following assessment, advice
and recommendation of a registered member of the team/MDT, undertake extended skills specific to individual competence
under indirect supervision. Undertake a range of agreed competency-based skills such as venepuncture, cannulation,
non-ultrasound based vascular access procedures, device care and maintenance, clinical observation. Ensure all
documentation is contemporaneous, clear and located appropriately. To adhere to infection control policies and guidance.
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and escalated appropriately if defects found. To obtain results via IT
