Lead Respiratory Specialist Nurse
About the Role
To have a high level of knowledge of Respiratory Disease (Asthma, COPD) and to have undertaken the relevant Diploma or
educational courses to ensure effective competency within the role. To deliver Respiratory services to patients,
ensuring that the needs of the patient are paramount and provide liaison between primary and secondary care in relation
to area of responsibility. To attend regular educational updates/ refreshers to maintain current clinical knowledge and
manage conditions in line with relevant national and local guidelines. To provide a holistic approach to assessment and
actively encourage patients to set action plans for change of lifestyle to improve conditions. To be ARTP Registered and
