About the Role
In this varied and rewarding role, you will support individuals within our supported living service and out in the local community. From assisting with daily routines to joining in with hobbies, social activities and appointments, you will play an important role in helping people build fulfilling, independent lives.
Responsibilities
- Support adults with mild learning disabilities in a supported living service
- Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation and personal care
- Administer medication safely according to care plans
- Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies
- Promote independence, dignity, and personal development
- Maintain accurate records and follow individual support plans
- Build positive relationships with families and colleagues
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supported living or care setting
- Experience supporting adults with mild learning disabilities
- Moving and handling trained
- Confident in administering medication
- Caring, positive, and person-centred approach
- Good communication skills, both independent and team-oriented
- Reliable and proactive in supporting others
