Locally Employed Doctor (Higher) Trauma and Orthopaedics

About the Role

UHB provides care over 4 hospitals across Birmingham and Solihull and is aligned to the local universities and provide

undergraduate education for medical, nursing and allied professions. The posts will provide exposure to the whole range

of trauma activity. There are two on call rotas and the hospitals are grouped as Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull

(HGS) and Queen Elizabeth (QE). On calls are therefore split as QE only or alternating between Heartlands hospital and

Good Hope hospital if working on the HGS rota. We like to rotate between the respective rotas every 6-12 months, so that

they get the full breadth of T&O exposure as each site does different activity.
