Locally Employed Doctor - Newton Abbot Hospital
About the Role
The working day will start from 9.00 and finish at approximately 5pm. You would start by identifying the nurse in charge
and attending the daily safety brief, which will highlight any Patients who need an urgent review, are new admissions to
the ward or need any medical intervention prior to discharge that day. You will have full access to all relevant
clinical systems to be able to request and review any tests. There are on site x-ray and ultrasound facilities within
the hospital from 9-5 which you can refer patients to. There is currently a courier service three times per day (0800,
1300 and 1530 and ) that will take blood samples back for analysis at Torbay hospital. There is no phlebotomoy service
