Locum Consultant in Haematology with an interest in Haemoglobinopathy
About the Role
The appointee will be required to engage in and promote clinical governance and service improvement initiatives within
the Trust. The appointee will be responsible for providing laboratory and clinical haematology support to the
nonmalignant haematology team and to work with the existing consultants to provide comprehensive expertise in
haemoglobinopathy and haemostasis disorders. The candidate will be expected to ensure that the standards and procedures
comply with current statutory requirements and Department of Health recommendations. They will have the providing
support to specialist nursing teams within these services. The appointee will be required to be familiar with the
