Locum Consultant Physician Acute and General Medicine
About the Role
University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is looking for a Locum Consultant Physician in Acute & General Medicine on a Fixed
Term basis for 12 Months. The department has redesigned its Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) processes, enabling it to take
forward a number of exciting new 'front door' developments including the establishment of an Ambulatory Emergency Care
(AEC) unit. The Acute Physicians are well supported by Physician of the Day and dedicated Physician of the Week models,
alongside Specialist Nurses in MAU. Excellent support is also provided by nursing and medical colleagues in the
Emergency Department. The successful applicants will participate in the acute rota which is variable and flexible
