About the Role
1. Ensure provision of chemotherapy for haemato-oncology patients as well as other day ward based treatments such as
venesection and central venous access devices management. There is an expectation that the post-holder will spend time
working clinically in the day unit. 2. Have oversight of chemocare for Haematology patients to ensure timely scheduling.
3. Act as a Specialty Advisor giving evidence based advice to all staff in matters relating to the care of patients with
haematological disease. 4. Lead the nurse management of patients with acute/chronic haemato-oncology disease. 5. Act as
key worker for patients with haematological disease. 6. Provide evidence based information and advice for patients and
