Maintenance Person

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person for St Francis Private Care Home in Portadown. This role involves gardening, painting, and general maintenance to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents. Your contributions will directly enhance the quality of care provided in our facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain external grounds, fencing, and garden tubs.
• Clear blockages in manholes and guttering.
• Keep outside entrances clean and free from cobwebs.
• Run and service the generator as required.
• Check and report faults in the fire alarm system.
• Maintain equipment to a safe standard.
• Record water temperatures and make necessary adjustments.
• Change light bulbs and maintain adequate supplies.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Experience in maintenance or similar roles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of gardening and equipment maintenance.
• Willingness to respond to emergency call-outs.
