About the Role
GKN Aerospace is seeking an early-career Manufacturing Engineer to join their Luton team. This entry-level role offers training and development opportunities while contributing to the development of manufacturing processes for commercial and military ice protection systems. Ideal for recent graduates or those with some industry experience, this position supports day-to-day operations and fosters growth within the manufacturing engineering field.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Publish and update engineering documentation.
- Lead structured problem-solving projects.
- Support manufacturing operations on a daily basis.
- Conduct Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
- Reduce scrap and rework through continuous improvement.
- Comply with environmental and safety procedures.
Requirements
- HNC or degree in relevant engineering field.
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Ability to describe mechanical assembly processes.
- Competent in problem-solving techniques.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and in teams.

Compensation

Location & Schedule
Based at the Luton manufacturing plant, with core hours from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 12:30 Friday.
