About the Role
Maternity Liaison Ward Clerks are front-line staff who play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the
maternity wards. They assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging women and babies, ensuring accurate records
and smooth administrative processes that directly support safe, high-quality patient care.
The post holder will provide administrative and clerical support to the maternity team, enabling the efficient use of
resources and ensuring the smooth operation of the department. Duties include reception tasks, data entry, booking
appointments, and supporting both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
