Maternity Support Worker - Birth Centre

About the Role

To assist the midwives in the delivery of care to women/birthing people in the hospital and community setting. The post

holder carries a defined range of duties delegated by and reported back registered member of the multi-professional

team. The MSW is able to work regularly without direct supervision, reports any concerns, change in the condition of the

woman/birthing person and baby and highlights incidents to the midwife responsible for care. Duties and responsibilities

for the role will be discussed and agreed on a daily basis with the midwife in charge, with communication channels open

throughout the day for further advice and support.
