About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior nurse to join our Directorate of Acute & Specialist Medicine as Matron

for Acute Medicine, leading our 35 bedded Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at St Mary’s Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated leader with a strong background in Acute Medicine and/or

Emergency Care. You will provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership, working closely with the Emergency

Department, Virtual Ward, Discharge Lounge and inpatient wards to improve ED 4 hour performance, strengthen discharge

processes and enhance patient flow through AMU.
