Matron - Infection Prevention & Control
About the Role
The Matron is responsible for ensuring safe Infection Prevention & Control practices are in place and adhered to in
order to facilitate safe care delivery and support effective and efficient patient flow. They will ensure employees
adhere to policy in relation to Infection Prevention and hygiene and take personal accountability for addressing issues
/ shortfalls as required The Matron will act as a role model and will take corrective action to uphold the standards
required of the Trust and the nursing profession. This will include participating in hospital specific shift
arrangements to provide professional advice and leadership during evenings (including nights in extreme circumstances),
