About the Role

The jobholder will have overall responsibility for the management of nursing/associated staff and the management of

midwifery resources/budgets within the CSU or a part of it. The jobholder will be accountable for ensuring the highest

standard of clinical care is provided within the wards and departments for which they are responsible and ensure the

principles of clinical governance are implemented at a local level. The jobholder will work in partnership with the

facilities department in ensuring high standards of hospital cleanliness is maintained, embracing the principles

outlined in the Matrons charter. The jobholder will be easily identifiable to patients, provide strong leadership
