About the Role

Join Salvation Army Housing Association as a Mental Health Support Worker, where you'll provide holistic, recovery-focused support to clients with mental health challenges. Engage creatively with clients to develop skills for independent living, offering both one-on-one and group sessions while collaborating with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in attending essential appointments.
  • Advise clients on housing, health, and welfare resources.
  • Assist with medication management as needed.
  • Engage residents in service development.
  • Assess potential new clients for support.
  • Manage incidents and challenging behavior effectively.
  • Develop person-centred Support and Risk Management Plans.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of complex mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in mental health support or social care.
  • Willingness to participate in a 24-hour shift rota.
