About the Role
Join Salvation Army Housing Association as a Mental Health Support Worker, where you'll provide holistic, recovery-focused support to clients with mental health challenges. Engage creatively with clients to develop skills for independent living, offering both one-on-one and group sessions while collaborating with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Support clients in attending essential appointments.
- Advise clients on housing, health, and welfare resources.
- Assist with medication management as needed.
- Engage residents in service development.
- Assess potential new clients for support.
- Manage incidents and challenging behavior effectively.
- Develop person-centred Support and Risk Management Plans.
Requirements
- Knowledge of complex mental health needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in mental health support or social care.
- Willingness to participate in a 24-hour shift rota.
