About the Role

Job Title: Midwife Reports to: Senior Midwife Team Leader Band: 6 Unit/Department: Maternity Unit/community midwifery.

Directorate: Womens CSU Location Leeds General Infirmary/St James's University Hospital/Community JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of

programmes of care, and may be required to teach other midwives and non-midwifery staff. They take responsibility as the

prime care provider for a group of women. The post holder is a prime care provider who is required to practice clinical

skills developed through experience but at a more advanced level than required for those who have just qualified as
