About the Role
As a Minor Illness practitioner, you will: Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and
care for patients presenting with acute illnesses for children through to the elderly. Interpret and evaluate diagnostic
test results in liaison with the patient and their GP and initiate treatment accordingly Prescribe as an independent
nurse prescriber accordingly within the legal framework of nurse prescribing The following are the core responsibilities
of the Practice Nurse in delivering health services: Support the Infection Prevention Control (IPC) lead and work to the
IPC Policy Consult with patients and their families to undertake assessments of patient need Support in the long-term
