Nuclear Medicine Assistant

About the Role

To assist patients in preparation for, and whilst undergoing, routine and specialised Nuclear Medicine examinations.

Establish and maintain a good communication channel with patients to support patient confidence. To observe and care for

patients whilst waiting for examinations and communicate any concerns to trained staff as appropriate. Co-ordinate and

facilitate the transfer of inpatients for scans with the porters and clinical staff into the appropriate scan

environments at the right time. To check patient identification and documentation in accordance with departmental

protocols and clinical requests. Assist Radiologists, scientists, registrars, technologists and Nurses in performing
